Model planetarium

The Planetary System shows the Sun and planets inside a double circular band measuring 9m in diameter.
Using a set of rods and cogs, the movements of the planets are reproduced with impressive accuracy. An escutcheon on one of the two bands indicates the date and day. A two-face clock turning in reverse completes the installation and indicates solar time, official time, the number of daylight hours and the phases of the moon.
