The miniature garden train, also known as the S'Molshemer Bahnele, is a curiosity to be discovered in the medieval town of Molsheim, located on the Alsace wine route some twenty kilometers from Strasbourg.
Lovers of railroad history have built a 1:20 scale model of the train that once linked Saverne to Molsheim, reproducing many of the buildings and engineering structures on the line.
It's a trip down memory lane and a little history lesson.
Free access to the model every day, with refreshments and snacks on site.
Train service: Saturdays from May to mid-October and Sundays in December (except in rainy weather and heatwave alerts).
