It is dated to the Middle Ages and would correspond to an ancient funerary stele erected on a tumulus (500 BC - Final Hallstatt). It is the oldest preserved Celtic monument in our region.
On its east side was carved a monolith in the shape of a hook (symbol of the village Altorf), so as the date 1781 which could be the revision year of the communal boundaries.
