Since 1962, a braderie has been held every May 1st, bringing together around 200 stalls. Initially held in Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, it began with around 50 stallholders. Today, its success means that it has spread to many of the city's streets. At the same time, the Place du Marché hosts the annual fair (or Messti in Alsatian), traditionally held around St. George's Day, patron saint of the town. It lasts an average of ten days, from late April to May 8.
