Xop, written in Cyrillic, is pronounced "Hor" and means "choir" in Bulgarian. Created by Diane Bucciali and Camille Mandleur in 2025, this young ensemble of amateur singers was born of their common desire to share their passion for traditional Bulgarian polyphonic singing with others. Both singers in Ispolin, an all-female vocal trio from Strasbourg dedicated to Bulgarian polyphony, Camille and Diane's dream with Xop is to bring these popular songs to life with the voices of a large choir, to make them vibrate even more strongly, to give them a scope commensurate with their demands and their beauty. For their first concert, Xop has invited some musician friends to join them: Marteaux Collective
