Le cœur en partage,is an exhibition of paintings by Nicolas Waël to be discovered in the Jesuit church.
Born in Reims in 1970, trained in fashion and jewelry in Paris, Nicolas De Waël deploys a multidisciplinary creative talent. His expertise has been forged through collaborations with arts and crafts manufacturers, for whom he designs lighting, ceramics, glassware and jewelry. His influences travel from English gardens to the decorative arts, from architecture to the primitive arts, and from Mediterranean light to the poetry of haiku.
For several years, the artist has devoted herself to painting and observing the world of the sensible. Under the title Paréïdolie Ukiyo-e, his canvases fall somewhere between abstract and figurative. In them, he captures the ephemerality of a weightless space where the eye perceives shapes in the formless - fragments of landscape or plant movements - like an echo of the "Floating World".
The work is built on the vibration of color
