The museum at the Château des Rohan Cultural Center is offering free admission before its winter closure.

The temporary summer exhibition will be on view for the last time before returning to Mulhouse at the Nef des Sciences.
Did Neolithic humans already know how to perform trepanation on their peers’ skulls to treat them? Is an artificial larynx for humans a reality? What does it mean to be an “augmented human” today? Have you heard of transhumanism?
'The Perfect Body? The Repaired, Remodeled, Augmented Human' presents—in an original format and from “every angle”—human interventions on the body for the purposes of repair or enhancement. From the ancient Neolithic era to the present day, human beings have always sought to improve their health, well-being, and quality of life. The exhibition reveals, in a playful, historical, and scientific way, what medicine and medical research have made possible, are making possible, and promise to achieve in repairing the body.
You can also (re)discover the collection of bladed weapons and firearms, including the famous Chassepot rifle, as well as numerous artifacts from antiquity to the Middle Ages, such as a skeleton from the Merovingian period and a magnificent sarcophagus lid.
