A Gentle Journey—The Song of the Soul Amid the Winter Lights

In the heart of winter, the voices of children from a distant land tell of the joys of birth. The children weave a joyful dialogue between music, cultures, and languages—French, Alsatian, German, and Yiddish—celebrating love and brotherhood. The musical hues of times past invite the sounds of Mitteleuropa, the Balkans, and the Middle East to accompany—through their warm, melancholic, and festive tones—traditional songs that elevate the human spirit, illuminated by the colors of the winter solstice.

Featuring the Colmar Conservatory Children’s Choir (Martine Weiss, conductor), the Saint-Jean de Colmar Children’s Choir (Aurélie Estatico, conductor), the early music ensemble of the Colmar Conservatory (Vincent Courrier, artistic coordinator), and the Klezmhear Quintet.
Benjamin Mayer, clarinets and artistic coordination – Emma Errera, violin – Clément Dague, guitar – François Hagenmuller, percussion – Pascal Sauvage, double bass.
