Walk to the Stillbach

1h 0,7 Km 1 m Easy

Description

A round-trip trail leading to approximately 3,000 m² of restored wetlands, featuring a 300 m² pond that provides a permanent habitat for amphibians. A 30 m² observation deck allows visitors to observe the species in and around the pond. The Stillbach is a tributary of the Bruche that flows through the towns of Still and Dinsheim-sur-Bruche, and the Bitzenbaechel—which you’ll follow on your way to the pond—is a stream that flows into the Stillbach. This trail is accessible to people with limited mobility. Part of the path is gravel. The walk can be extended toward the Calvary and its Way of the Cross with 15 stations.
Certain parts of the site are intentionally left largely inaccessible to promote the natural development of ecosystems and avoid disturbing the wildlife.
