An easy walking tour suitable for all ages through the streets and alleys of the old town of Dachstein. Like many towns in Alsace, this village is full of historic buildings and unique spots. Set apart from major thoroughfares, the village has managed to preserve a wealth of historical treasures that alone make it worth the detour. This historic site boasts no fewer than two castles and numerous half-timbered houses, all nestled within the medieval ramparts, once built by the Bishop of Strasbourg, the powerful lord of the Bruche Valley.
